GuaSha is traditionally part of Traditional Chinese medicine. It consists in gently scraping the skin with a jade stone or similar utensil.
In UK, practitioners, widely use jar lids instead as they are disposable and safer from a sanitary point of view.
It's normally used to dispel stagnation and improve circulation in body, it consequently helps relieving from pain.
GuaSha normally leaves some marks which look like rashes, however, they usually last around a week and slowly fade away with no pain accompanying them.
